For more than 64 years the College Station Noon Lions Club has been selling Christmas trees. Our location has changed a number of times over the years but the quality of our trees and the friendly, courteous service of our members has always been a hallmark of our tree lot.
The College Station Noon Lions Club would like to say a huge THANK YOU to all of our amazing sponsors for this year's Christmas Tree Project! We could not do any of it without them , or our dedicated group of volunteers! We appreciate everyone's unending dedication to giving back to our community in such beautiful ways.
This annual project does far more than bring holiday joy—it makes a significant impact throughout the community. Proceeds directly support local Lions Club service initiatives, including:
- Free KidSight vision screenings for children
- Eyeglasses and exams for community members in need
- Support for local nonprofits and youth programs
- Community service projects that promote health, education, and quality of life across Brazos Valley

Proper Tree Care
First and foremost, THANK YOU for your support by purchasing your Christmas tree from the College Station Noon Lions Club. We search farms across the country to locate Grade #1 trees that will last throughout the entire holiday season. We know you have plenty of other options, and hope our lot becomes a family tradition – along with so many others – to come select your tree from us year after year. The proceeds from the purchase of your tree go right back into our community.
Make a fresh cut. Fortunately, our Lions provide this service prior to loading up your tree.
Choose a spot away from heat sources, such as a heater vent, or fire place.
Water your tree immediately. It will drink a LOT of water the first day, but you will want to check the water level daily. The tree will absorb a lot of water, but if you have inside animals, they may drink the water, as well. This should be discouraged.
Don’t add anything to the water. Research has shown that plain tap water is best. Some commercial additives and homemade concoctions can actually decrease a tree’s moisture retention, and increase needle loss.
Check water level daily. Yes, this was mentioned in #3, but it’s the most important, along with keeping the tree away from a heat source to avoid drying out your tree.
ENJOY!!! Okay, this number is the most important. Enjoy the holiday season with your family as you choose to define them, and remember to show Compassion, Patience, Kindness, and Love.
